Links I Love- February Edition

Well hello babes!

I’m starting a new feature on the blog titled, “Links I Love” and I’m PUMPED. Every month I’ll share what I’m currently raving about. If you follow me on snapchat, I’ve probably mentioned these items one or two times. I’ll share anything from my new favorite food to what Netflix series I’m bingeing until 2 AM (then you can all suffer with me mwahaha)! To kick it off, I have 8 links I’m loving for the month of February. Let’s get started!

Marc Fisher wedges

I’m already saving my pennies for these shoes because I would totally wear these every day! I’ve seen everyone from fellow bloggers to friends wearing these and they always note how comfortable they are. Fashion + comfort? Double win. I’ve linked some similar styles and more colors in the widget below!

Cookie DO NYC

Yes, THAT cookie dough place. The one you’ve seen tempting you on your timeline for weeks! INSIDER actually made one of the videos that helped that place go viral! After standing in line for 2 hours (and documenting my experience) I’m happy to report that it was #WORTHIT.

 Chance the Rapper

Chance has quickly made his way to my favorite rappers list and he’s the same age as me! Get it together, Tomi. I’ve been listening to his album on repeat since May 2016. He recently won 3 GRAMMY AWARDS for the album, so I’m a little proud. The way he’s not afraid to put his faith out there on the world stage shows there are plenty of Christian artists out there (and decent christian rappers other than Lecrae).  Song suggestions: Angels (my personal fave) and No Problems (feat. Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz).

The Young Pope

The (metaphorical) water cooler was surrounded with “The Young Pope” conversations for weeks on end. The show is exactly what it sounds like; the catholic church and their adjustments to a young(ish) pope.  Jude Law gives a beautiful performance that’s guaranteed to be nominated come Emmy season. Binge-watch it on HBO.

Smile Brilliant

This at home teeth whitening kit was a new one for me. Of course you know you’ve made it on Instagram when you get approached for flat tummy teas or teeth whitening, so I was pretty happy! I knew what works and what didn’t since my dad is a dentist. I got him to check out the ingredients and he agreed that it should do the trick!

I’m super self-conscious about my teeth so I’m always willing to try new things. I’ve had laser teeth whitening in the past, so I didn’t think teeth sensitivity would be a problem for me… I was wrong. IF I had initially chosen the more sensitive formula, I probably would’ve been fine. But the real question is… Did it work? And the answer is yes! Well, for the most part. If I was able to wear the trays longer, I have no doubt that it would’ve done the job. Look at the difference after just a couple of uses! Find out how to learn more and brighten your smile here.

Smile Brilliant is the best at home treatment for a brighter smile! Read more about my experience on teeth whitening.

 Beautycounter Cleansing Balm

I have no idea why it took me so long to discover this brand, yet here we are! Don’t be like me! Beautycounter has products from body scrubs to makeup! The best part is that their super conscious of what they’re putting into those award-winning items to make sure we’re looking our healthiest.

My favorite product at the moment is the cleansing balm. It’s become my go-to makeup remover after a long day. Soap can be too harsh and makeup removers don’t always do the trick, so this cleansing balm is a God send! The price may put you off, I’ve been using mine for months and I’m just getting to the end of it! Additionally, as someone who has sensitive skin I always want to be fully aware of the products I’m suggesting. This one has been vetted and definitely gets my stamp of approval.

Beauty Counter Cleansing Balm- Best Makeup Remover HANDS DOWN.

We Rate Dogs

The best twitter account you’ll ever follow. It delivers the humor and constant stream of “doggo” pictures that you never knew you needed and honestly the first thing I knew I needed to share on this links I love! Not a dog lover? You’ll get a chuckled out of the quips the account owner has with the people who send in photos. 10/10 for amazing content.

Olay Eye Products

Yes, black don’t crack but that doesn’t mean I shouldn’t try to prevent! Sunscreen and these products are a must have for me. I alternate with this product in the morning and this in the evening to reverse the effects of squinting at a screen all day.

Let me know if you’re sharing similar obsessions or something I should try for the month of March’s links I love.

Thank you to Beauty Counter for sponsoring this post and Christina for picking out the best beauty finds for me!

Those wedges look super cute! I’ve actually always wanted a pair like those ever since I was a little girl and saw them when my family and I had gone to Europe. Also, it’s great to find another Chance the Rapper fan! ” I’ve had “Angels” ft. Saba has been on repeat since September! :)

    • GoodTomiCha says:

Yay! I’m glad you like them too. And how could you not love Chance!? I’m hoping somehow Angels will become a single. :)

  3. Kim Pincombe-Cole says:

I had been obsessing over those cognac Adalyn Marc Fisher wedges too, but was hesitant over the price (especially because I already have the black Randall Marc Fisher wedges). And then a friend told me about a great pair of dupes: Steve Madden Jaylen Wedge Sandals at DSW for $60. I just bought them yesterday & they are so good!

    • GoodTomiCha says:

I’m so glad you said that! My friend also just shared the dupes with me so I’ll be snatching them up QUICK. Thanks for the heads up! :)
