Welcome to the new #CoronaContent

How are we doing, GoodTomiCha gang? Anxious? Stressed? Depressed? All of the above?! These past few weeks have been overwhelming, to say the least. I’m personally getting by with a nice tub of Ben & Jerry’s, funny TikToks and podcasts. Praise God for reliable internet and Netflix, too!

I know exactly what you’re thinking. “Tomi, why are you even sharing vacation style?! WE CAN’T TRAVEL CAUSE OF DA RONA.” A very valid point! While I wish that we could all be chilling on a beach in the Caribbean with a drink in our hands, that won’t be a reality for a while. Recently, I’ve been working with a friend to redesign some brand elements for the blog that I’ve been dying to show you guys. A couple of the posts like the shoppable collage above were just too pretty not to share! Honestly, I’ve preplanned a lot of spring style and travel content that I have to pivot. And that’s completely ok. It’s annoying, sure, but ok. There is a literal pandemic happening outside, for goodness sake.

What can we expect from GoodTomiCha right now?

For the foreseeable future, I’ll be leaning into more lifestyle tips and tricks such as home, beauty, etc. If I happen to post on social media or on the blog without mentioning the coronavirus, please don’t confuse that with apathy. No one is oblivious to what’s happening in the world. There are plenty of news sites keeping people up to date on COVID-19. The CDC, WHO, or this website for my NC residents are doing a phenomenal job. I’ll do my best to use my platform to educate about how to help your local communities, donate to organizations, and more. However, I still want to be a resource you can use to get your mind off of things, too! Both types of content are equally important in this climate. It’s important to take the coronavirus seriously, but focusing on it 24/7 can be pretty detrimental to your mental health.

*pin this for later!*

Why I’m Thankful

I am blessed to be able to work from home while living with an autoimmune disease. Even though the cornerstone of my content has been fashion and travel, we’ve always dug deeper- haven’t we? So while the posts about cute tops for spring and must have trip essentials might slow down, we’ll never stop having important conversations about life, faith, and relationships. One day when this ends (and it will end) we’ll be able to appreciate the little things even more. In this post here, I share a detailed look at how I make money as a blogger. Each view, click, and share helps me run my small business! And you don’t have to even spend a dime! And of course, purchasing an item through one of my links is appreciated. I’m always thankful for my readers, but even more so during this time.

So go ahead and pin this post for that trip you had to postpone or to celebrate the end of the apocalypse. This too shall pass, friends. Stay safe. Stay inside. And wash your hands! ❤️
