I’ve shared some other shoe loves before on the blog, but this one goes further. I have a mild obsession with boots. If you can call 20 pairs of boots/booties, mild. However, I live by the philosophy that each pair brings something new and essential to your wardrobe. The over-the-knee (or OTK) style are no exception. These shoes can edge up any outfit and work perfectly throughout the fall and winter. Here are a few tips to rock your favorite OTK boots this season.
How to Rock OTK Boots
- Mix textures or colors– Avoid wearing leather boots with leather leggings. Instead, pair your leggings with suede boots, (pictured below)
2. Pants, Skirts, and Dresses. All fair game. They work best with skinny-style pants, skater or circle skirts, and mid-thigh dresses.
3. Short people + tall boots. Shorties of the world, let’s unite! Don’t shy away from this style because of your height. When paired with shorter dresses or skirts, it can actually make you look taller. I was eyeing these boots by ‘Stuart Weitzman’ before finding out it was going to cost my first born just to pay taxes on them. Luckily, I snagged this pair from DSW for way less. It was a good day and my bank account will be forever thankful.
I’ve added some of my favorite otk boots below so you can find the perfect pair! I made sure to keep them all reasonable prices, too! Click on the widget to start walking with over the knee boots (see what I did there?).
